That where you decide to set them up should be carefully thought out because checkpoints allow only for one way movement (when manned by guards) and using two each way may be required. They can also cause congestion and significantly slow down the speed at which prisoners travel.
Efficiency of pat-down searches depends on tiredness of the guard performing them so having them well rested is important.
