A tip here is to put a laundry room in every block. This is not a good tip, as all the prisoners will simply bring all the laundry baskets to one of the rooms and use that ONE to do everything needed.

In response to the commenter above. You never know! The laundry room might receive an update in the future and its functionality may improve then.

On a side note, the "need more images" template will be removed because the article serves as informative for a single in-game element, and there are already two images in the article. --RGeezy911 (talk) 04:58, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

I can confirm that multiple laundry rooms don't seem to function properly. I have set up two laundry rooms in separate buildings and all the laundry baskets move to the original room. This would lead to a larger centralized laundry room would be better than several small ones.

Tips: Power[edit]

I'm not sure about most of the tips currently, maybe they might be outdated due to development of the laundry distribution. However, I did not put any special care and attention to the laundry in my prisons so far, so I can't really tell. What I know that I don't understand is the first tip: "Build a Switch to be able to turn off the electricity to the laundry room." How could that help me? What's the reasoning behind this? --YMS (talk) 10:39, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

In case of a leaking pipe, you can prevent a fire by turning off the power. That was something I heard time ago. I don't know if that still works. --TiRARdisk 10:52, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
That probably was it: Laundries used to be pretty dangerous, as damaged washing machines would fry anyone approaching them as long as they still were powered. This is not the case any more, the only place left where water and electricity shouldn't meet is the Power Station. Thus, there's no need for a power switch for the Laundry any more (there hardly is anywhere). I removed the tip. --YMS (talk) 18:18, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
