Other Information:

  • Requires Water to operate.

Used by prisoners and staff when they feel the call of nature ("A basic human right, if you believe all those crackpots", as the game says). Prisoners or staff using a toilet will be able to satisfy both "Bladder" and "Bowels" needs simultaneously.

Toilets are required in every Cell, Family Cell, Dormitory and Holding Cell, though not in Solitary. They can be placed in any room and they require a water connection such as a Small Pipe. Staff only uses toilets in Staff Rooms or in staff-only sectors.

When digging an Escape Tunnel, the prisoner will always start from the toilet in their cell or dormitory. Searching the toilet directly is the only really reliable way to detect such tunnels. If the toilet is searched as a part of the "Search Cell", "Search Cell Block" or "Search for tunnels" action, a tunnel might not be noticed.

Prisoners can damage toilets and cause flooding when upset.
